Arlene works tirelessly to help provide safe and compassionate care to our patients in the Operating Room. She is an expert Nurse in Neurosurgery, helping other nurses feel comfortable when working in an area that may seem unfamiliar and challenging, all with a positive attitude. Colleagues say, "Arlene jumps right in and owns knowledge. She has a desire to know all there is to know and share with her colleagues". Her kindness is contagious, and everyone from Anesthesia to Nursing to Surgery loves working with her! Recently, she played a big role in helping transition staff to working in the OR-IGT Hybrid Suite. She has shown patience and leadership during an overwhelming transition and has worked endlessly to make the daily workflow seamless. In doing so, she has shown exemplary compassionate and empathetic care, easing the transition of these acute patients into the operating room. Arlene is our 'go-to' resource for the multidisciplinary Neurosurgical Team regarding surgical procedures and perioperative patient care, and we admire her for it!
