Su-Mei has been a nurse for 16 years; she worked at Min-Sheng Hospital for 6 years as an Advance Clinical Nurse. She devoted to her nursing career started as a nursing assistant to becoming an Advance Clinical Nurse. Ms. Tsai has excellent clinical skills and she enjoyed working closely with the patients and families. She has always included patient and family members in establishing treatment plan. She is also very keen in noticing when patient/family has difficulty in handling stress and she would provide timely psychosocial support.
She takes initiative in providing instructions to families for continuing care at home and takes the time to provide clear and detail instructions to patients/families on disease management and prevention.
The hospital received numerous patient and family appreciation letters with praises of her professionalism, caring demeanor and providing support to patients and families in the preparation and acceptance for end of life.

Progression- she has ACLS and also continuously enhances knowledge in mentoring others to be an Advance Clinical Nurse. She was one of the first few that passed the national exam for the Advance Clinical Nurse certificate in 2007 when it became available.
Excellence- she is considered one of the best nurses who can competently assessed patient medical and psychosocial needs and develops a comprehensive treatment plan. Patient/family and physician feed back have been consistently positive. Sharing- she shares her knowledge with other nurses and provide helpful and individualize patient/family education. She always cooperates to cover shifts and volunteers to work extra days when there is a need.
