I was admitted with extreme shortness of breath from congestive heart failure. The ER staff got me stabilized and I was moved to CCU. I met Nurse Pannarai yesterday when I returned from the cath lab. She was very caring - checking my condition and my spirits. She was very responsive to my requests for support and immediately provided knowledgeable and understandable responses to my questions.
She removed the secure covering for the insertion site slowly and carefully, to minimize any pain I might feel and prepared and placed the wound dressing without pain to me. She did this at midnight as directed and left me when she finished. I was unable to sleep right away and requested a melatonin tablet to assist. She cheerfully worked with the pharmacy and brought me a tablet, which quickly worked and I slept well.
