One of Kris' major attributes is her ability to be a team player. On a regular basis, I hear her ask others if there is anything else she can do to help them. You never feel alone, you always feel she is there as a support. She will go above and beyond to ease the workload of others. Kris displays persistence and attention to detail when working with her patients. She identifies issues with the patient and frequently calls or faxes information to their doctors. She will continue to follow up with the doctor until the issue is resolved. Kris works part-time so she does a great job of communicating her patient needs or goals to the other staff members. She ensures that her patients are followed up with and taken care of in her absence. She leads by example through her compassion and skills. Her background of being an ICU nurse is an asset to the program. Staff rely on her skills and expertise as a "go-to" person. You will also observe Kris sitting with patients and comforting them during their recovery. Kris makes a difference not just to the patient but to the staff as well. We enjoy her humor, energy, smile, singing, and laidback attitude. She is an exceptional nurse providing a safe, fun, caring environment to our patients. She is professional, respectful, and shows great concern for our patients. The patients in cardiac rehab as well as the staff are fortunate to have Kris in the program. She makes our team complete.
