Holly has been an employee here at Warren General Hospital for 42.5 years. Holly was nominated by a patient she cared for on the Maternity Unit. This patient claims she had a procedure done and was having increased pain as well as personal issues in her life. The patient states she knew Holly was very busy but was always pleasant, kind, and empathetic. Holly communicated her plan of care and how to get her pain under control. The time Holly took to educate her about the process was vital to her healing progress.
The Patient continued to say, "As I was crying, Holly took time to sit down, hug me, reassured me, and kept me in a positive focus on my recovery." When Holly said she would be back to check on her patient, she always came back and this helped her rest with ease, knowing that her nurse was going to do what she told her she was going to do.
