Nurse Shannon is an incredible asset to University Medical Center New Orleans! She's able to provide a smile and kindness when having a loved one stay at the hospital. She immediately recognized us from a previous hospital stay and was able to recall details of my mom's health issues and concerns from the top of her head without needing to consult my mom's chart. Her memory is incredible since it's been months since my mom's last hospital stay.
My mom had been complaining of calf pain. Nurse Shannon examined them and showed genuine concern. Shannon wrote on her report to the doctors about her concern that my mom might have developed clots in her legs. The next day my mom was wheeled over to ultrasound just to make sure there weren't clots in her legs. Luckily, no clots were found. Still, the fact that Shannon listened to our concerns about my mom's leg pain and took it to the doctors' attention is highly commendable!
Nurse Shannon brought such a positive experience to staying at this hospital, I'd gladly recommend others to be treated here.
