Fran has been the ACL of PACU/Surgical Services forever. She is the "go-to" person who knows everything about the patient, surgeons, nurses, equipment, etc. Despite being in a management role, she works alongside staff, often being the hardest working nurse in the department. She openly treats staff as her own family, making sure everyone gets a break before herself. She greets everyone with kindness and professionalism, from housekeepers to students to the CEO of the hospital.
If a nurse or staff member is sick or has a personal problem, Fran listens and will do her best to send you home or give you a break. She encourages all of the staff around her to be the best they can be. She is well known throughout the Detroit area community. St. John's should take pride in having her represent our institution and department.
P.S. Fran buys her staff pizza on paydays with her own money.
