I want to recognize Fedia Yaklich for her kindness and generosity. Fedia was taking care of a cancer patient who had a power port placed. While reviewing discharge instructions with the patient, she learned that they did not have a thermometer at home. The patient verbalized not having their wallet or funds to buy one. Fedia recognized the importance of educating the patient on monitoring their temperature. She then took it upon herself to purchase a thermometer at MercyOne Pharmacy and gave it to the patient to use at home.
