Without Emily's ongoing honest, knowledgeable, and supportive nursing care, I truly believe I would be in a very different position right now and simply cannot ever thank her enough.
From just before and during the awful COVID pandemic, Emily continued to work tirelessly to ensure the best care possible despite redeployment and working in new environments and teams. Due to a severely debilitating medical phobia, every step of my ongoing treatment has been a living hell, however, it has been made possible and achievable due to the bespoke professional care Emily has given since day one. When emergency surgery took place in April, Emily stayed with me to continue to support me many hours after her shift had finished. When beginning traumatic medical procedures at home, Emily is at the other end of the phone and once again went above and beyond by continuing to support me by work phone out of hours and on her weekends. Emily co-ordinated and continues to coordinate my care with a fine-tooth comb and liaises continuously with other medical professionals. This "above and beyond" care has made this traumatic time manageable and will absolutely never be forgotten. Without Emily's ongoing honest, knowledgeable, and supportive nursing care, I truly believe I would be in a very different position right now and simply cannot ever thank her enough.
Emily got me moved to Ward 31 and despite running her own clinics she has been coming into the ward to check on me and coordinate my care. I am officially on the ward now and thanks to her I'm having a procedure today and possibly home this afternoon. I have a complex history of medical phobias which thanks to her I feel like I have almost overcome during this stay.
