Collin was calm, yet swift in doing all of the things that were important and necessary to help my husband. He was talking to my husband the whole time to keep him calm.
I arrived in the emergency room with my husband due to his complaint of chest pain, arm numbness, heart racing, headaches, and weakness on one side of his body. On the third day of symptoms, he was in enough pain and said that he was also starting to go through periods of blindness and had trouble walking. We arrived to the emergency room, where they took him right back to triage. We were taken from the triage to another room and Collin came in to greet us. He was calm, yet swift in doing all of the things that were important and necessary to help my husband. He was talking to him the whole time to keep him calm. My husband went for scans and had blood work done. Collin explained every procedure and every medication so that my husband could understand what was going on and stay calm. Collin made us aware that he was going to be admitted, and explained everything well. Collin's shift was about to be over an hour before he was being transferred over to a room. As Collin said goodbye, we thanked him for everything he did and for being so kind and professional- something you don't see very often in an emergency room. Before we were discharged, I wanted to let Collin know how much we appreciated him. I got him a card and some pastries to thank him for being so incredibly awesome. He really is an amazing nurse.
