As we are all well aware this COVID-19 pandemic has flipped many lives upside down. From people getting sick and needing hospital care away from their family for long durations of time to nurses and medical staff changing how they have to do their jobs. These unprecedented times and changes create challenges for everyone.
We want to personally recognize one individual who we feel has gone above and beyond our expectations to provide exemplary care and compassion when looking after our family member. Karli Shama is this amazing "Rock star". She has unparalleled patience dealing with our calls, taking the time to answer any and all questions that we have, and has made us feel extremely confident in the love and care our family member is receiving while we are unable to be by his side. She has made a point to keep us in the loop of his progress and has never failed to reach out to us to give us an update on his status. Not only has Karli done an amazing job caring for him, but she has also made a point to learn all our names and has treated every one of us like we are her family.
You should be especially proud of the staff who work at Monument Health. Along this journey, we have met many great nurses and doctors. We are extremely glad to have met Karli and can all say she is one amazingly kind-hearted individual that Monument Health is lucky to have.
