I was very nervous when I arrived at Memorial Hospital with my loved one who was scheduled for a special procedure. I remained as strong as I could because I knew my loved one was extremely nervous. To my surprise, all of the anxiety and nerves went away because of one Extraordinary Nurse. Shelley in Endo was truly a remarkable nurse. The moment we met her we both felt our anxiety and fear of the unknown slip away. She greeted us with a smile, introduced herself, explained everything that was going to happen, and answered all of our questions. She could tell we were both nervous and she gently placed her hand on my loved one and reminded her she was in good hands and at the safest hospital in Jacksonville. I woke up praying that everything would go well and the moment we met Shelley I knew my prayers were answered. She truly is a remarkable nurse who demonstrated pure compassion to not only her patient but the family members too. Thank you, Shelley, for being the beacon of light when we needed it the most! Your gentle touch and compassionate care will never be forgotten! We will always return to Memorial for any care we might need in the future because of the service you provided!
