Nancy has had a distinguished career as a nurse impacting clinical practice through her administration expertise. Through her charismatic leadership, she promotes a positive image of professional nursing that facilitates interprofessional collaborative practice and as a result improved patient outcomes. She demonstrates and actively engages in the professional development of self and others in the nursing profession. She continuously drives the team to be better. Throughout her tenure, we have seen a significant increase in educational preparedness and certification among the nursing staff. We know this positively impacts patient outcomes. She serves as a role model and advocate for nursing practice and the advancement of nursing as a professional. She advocates for the improvement of patient care and serves as an exemplar for enhancing the patient experience. Again, throughout her tenure here at BMC, she has implemented best practices, and as a result, we have seen a great improvement in patient satisfaction. She has been recognized by the broader nursing and healthcare community as a transformational nursing leader.
