This nomination is overdue to identify Vicky as a stand out nurse. She has her bachelor's, master's, and CNL licenses in nursing. She has one of those "behind the scenes" jobs. She uses her critical thinking skills to do her job every day. I personally see her as a "go-to person" if you need to know something and if she does not know the answer she will find out or find someone who does. She not only cares about the work she does but also the patients and staff around her. She has had her share of jumping in to do hands-on patient care when needed and definitely is a leader by example for other staff members. She makes a difference every day at work and truly was meant to pursue the career in life that she chose. She is a great nurse and connects the dots for patients and families to truly understand what the status of her patients are, as well as counsel them in the options and choices they have even when those are the most difficult choices to make in healthcare. Overall, she is well organized, kind, thorough, computer savvy, proactive, and genuinely a great nurse. She captures the essence of what a nurse should be and then raises the bar to be great at it. I am grateful for her to be on our team and would like to point out someone who truly gives her all every day at work to anyone she comes in contact with.
