I would like to nominate Samjana for the DAISY Award because she is very caring and efficient in doing her duties. Always with a smile. My husband came to Mercy and we were really scared. The doctors had not come to talk to us yet but Samjana was very patient and helpful to try answering some of our early questions. She also followed up with doctors in some cases to try to get as many answers as possible for us.
Ultimately we were told that my husband was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. The "C" word was really hard to hear! Samjana was very sensitive to our emotions and tried to make sure we understood and felt comfortable with all responses we got. We feel this was definitely a big plus to have someone treat our concerns so urgently. We had a lot of new things coming our way. Big words and lots of tests we never heard of before. Samjana is definitely a hero in our eyes. We feel she is a great and true asset to Mercy Fairfield. Good luck!! You're the best and we loved having you there for us.
