My father had surgery last year by Dr. M at the East Side Surgery Center. Being a person who has been healthy his whole life and utilizing the health care system minimally, he was extremely apprehensive and worried. My mom and I accompanied my father into the pre-op room. I was so impressed with Jennifer and how she was totally focused on my dad. Jennifer speaks very gently and sincerely. My dad cannot hear very well. Jennifer picked up on this immediately. I was so impressed by how she physically lowered herself to my dad's level. She didn't really have to speak louder because she spoke very clearly and slowly so that he could understand her. My dad had many questions in pre-op. Jennifer gave my dad all the time he needed and answered each question very respectfully.
My father also likes to joke around. Jennifer was so kind in allowing him to express himself in this way and her smile made my dad feel very comfortable.

I work with Jennifer. I have always felt she was a fantastic nurse and a valuable addition to our team. I was so grateful to her for the compassionate, patient, and supportive care she gave to my father, my mother and me. I have always been impressed with the care she gives to her patients and she truly impressed me as she provided care to my father. She has exceptional technical skills and is very thorough and organized. Patients, including my father, have great confidence and trust in her. She is confident but in a humble way. She is kind, soft spoken and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Jennifer is fantastic in reassuring patients that they are in good hands and that every caregiver the patient would have during their stay will take wonderful care of them!

Jennifer is an excellent resource to her colleagues. She provides safe care to her patients and shares ways to help improve patient care. She actively participates on process improvements for our unit. She is truly patient oriented and her patient's needs are a priority. I never see her rush her patients. She allows time for questions and explains things very thoroughly to make sure they understand.

Jennifer not only provided exceptional care to my father, she provides this type of care to all the patients she cares for. I have seen Jennifer provide the same respect and compassion to all of her patients, no matter who they are.

The other day, she once again impressed me. I was in post anesthesia unit and she was assigned to the pre-op area. I had a patient wake up from anesthesia very confused and combative. Jennifer saw this as she was passing through and ran over immediately to assist me. Jennifer quickly provided safety to my patient by utilizing the pillows on the cart to pad the side rails to keep my patient from hurting himself. She is very quick thinking and is always a helping hand, no questions asked.

Jennifer is a nurse that many respect and admire. I have been a nurse for 18 years but have learned a lot in just watching Jennifer and her interactions with patients. She is truly a natural, compassionate caregiver who is dedicated to providing excellent care to her patients. Aurora BayCare should consider her one of the best nurses they have.
