Heather Robbins is not only sweet, caring and enjoyable to be around; she is resourceful, persistent and concerned for her patient's welfare. I came into the ER on Friday night of Memorial Day weekend with chest pains. After two different EKG's indicated that I was not having a heart attack the doctors felt that, considering my history of heart problems, it would be prudent to admit me overnight for observation.
On Saturday morning the cardiologist wanted me to have a stress test before releasing me. Since it was the holiday weekend the stress lab was open on Saturday but would only take patients until 10:00. It was already 10:00 and if I did not have the test on that Saturday I would have to stay in the hospital until Tuesday. Anticipating this, Heather had already contacted the stress lab to advise them of my situation. She continued to follow with them, hoping that they would have an opening for me. At the same time she was assisting Dr. B with some computer issues.
Her friendly and caring personality put me at ease and made us feel very comfortable even in the face of a possible three day stay in the hospital. When the stress lab called to say that they could take me, I think she was as happy as we were. Thanks in great part to her efforts and quick thinking I was able to go home that evening.
Because of Heather, the wonderful nurses in the stress lab and the great care I received in the ER on a very busty Friday night, I have nothing but good things to say about Mercy Health Fairfield.
