We have known DeAnna since my son was four months old. We met her in the PICU. She has been with us through thick and thin. She helped train us when my son was put on a constant home vent. My son has needed many replacements of his feeding tube as well as having to receive much radiation exposure and anesthesia and the doctors were getting concerned. I did not know what to do. I expressed to DeAnna, crying that I did not know what to do. She gave me a hug and saw what she could do. I was very stressed. She quickly called the case manager and I got help with my son. She also let his doctors know what was going on. This was amazing. The doctors came and hugged me, and DeAnna came back and reassured me that we would figure something out. Special needs parents sometimes hit a wall and wonder how much more they can take. DeAnna made me feel like I was not alone in this and that she would be there to help. She did. It gave me that encouragement that I needed to keep going. She is an awesome blessing to my family. Thank you, DeAnna!
