My son was born six weeks early and spent a month in the NICU. All of the nurses in the NICU were amazing! This was a really stressful time and the entire nurse team went above and beyond to care for our little one and support me and my husband. Jodi was warm and welcoming from the first moment we met her. She has a special quality that puts you at ease and makes you want to hug her (I can't explain it, but if you ever meet her, you'll know exactly what I mean). Jodi was generally my son's night nurse. Leaving my tiny newborn in a dark hospital room each night was heart-wrenching. However, knowing that Jodi was there to look after my baby made it so much easier. She was so sweet, gentle, and kind, every night when I left, I knew he was in good hands and getting the very best care. Jodi also connected with me and my husband, she assisted me as I learned to breastfeed and talked sports with my husband (which was a nice distraction for him). Instead of one patient (my son) she was therapeutic to all of us, provided us each with what we needed. She is truly special.
