When I first met April Rawlings at Obici to have my stress test, her insight and professional ability probably saved my life, or at least prolonged it! For that I am eternally grateful. And then, something wonderful took place during my recent office visit with her. The first thing I noticed was the big beautiful smile she had on her face. Her smile and warm personality could light up any room. April immediately made me feel like a person, not just patient number nineteen for the day. She took time to communicate, on a personal level, and never made me feel like she was rushing me through to get to the next patient.
For me, something deeper took place. Our personalities collided in what I would call "connectedness". It's like God connected us together in a very positive experience that warmed my heart, encouraged me, and let me know that there are still caring people in the medical profession.
Thank you April, so much, for taking the time and effort to make me feel special. What I thought would be just a routine checkup turned out to be an unexpected pleasure.
