Gigi does a tremendous amount of coordination of our complex patients. I specifically remember one patient with challenging cystic fibrosis. Gigi was able to coordinate the appointments for this patient so that they could have all their appointments on the same day. She later took the lead to coordinate with CF Transplant Clinic and Infectious Disease to ensure the patient was prescribed the appropriate medication.
Gigi's kindness, openness, and willingness to help and go above and beyond the normal expectations are the qualities that make her so appreciated and a role model for all to follow at UWMC.

A patient shared, "It was my first ever stay in the hospital and Gigi made this hospital visit an exceptionally great one. Gigi met me and my wife at the Oto clinic door and ushered us in, even though it was well past the end of her work day and we were late due to traffic. That has been the hallmark of my entire experience with her—she just goes above and beyond in her care and in every interaction. Gigi worked closely with my care team and actively monitored my progress. It all contributed to me feeling like everything was finally going to be okay after all. I hadn't felt that way in days. Ultimately, between the team of doctors and wards of nurses, I felt like I had my own NASCAR pit crew working on getting me back into the "race". All the nurses were phenomenal but Nurse Gigi really stood out because of her exceptional care and cheerful demeanor."
