Rachel works hard and is doing all of the little extra things for her patients. She was willing to jump right in to the SCU and thrives there. Every patient whom she cares for, no matter how easy or difficult, receives the very best care. I have witnessed her holding a hand, or calmly talking a patient down. Rachel's coworkers really appreciate her calm helpful demeanor and her attention to detail. I appreciate how Rachel is always willing to do whatever is asked of her and even does more. Thank you, Rachel, for being such an amazing nurse!

There have been many situations that demonstrate how Rachel provides compassionate care. Today she recovered a patient with a lot of post-op pain and anxiety. Rachel did everything she could for her patient, even holding her, helping her breathe. She did not stop advocating for her patient. She is a wonderful nurse and I love working with her.

Rachel starting working for Shriners a year ago and has become a nurse we can count on to work not just on the inpatient floor but in the SCU and outpatient floor. She has been requested to be the nurse for certain patients and is always willing to help where needed, picking up extra shifts too. She is a big help! The nursing leadership team felt that her compassion towards children who have pain and anxiety makes her a DAISY Nurse. We were also impressed that she was willing to work in the SCU, inpatient and outpatient units.
