Mom had wonderful nurses, but Irene is an Extraordinary Nurse. This sweet Texan was able to encourage my mom in a way that I had not seen before. Mom had suffered CDiff and Irene shared that she had seen big men not be able to walk after this affliction. My mom is a Greek modest woman and the thought of someone helping her shower and toilet herself was too much for her pride to bear. But, Irene got her moving forward. She made sure she got her up and on a schedule. She made sure that my mom tried to move her legs and her arms and not give up. Her sweet smile and her greetings impressed us all. Her knowledge of her profession and extra directions to us gave us the ability to plan for Mom's discharge. Irene is an Extraordinary Nurse. Our thanks.
