Cara was phenomenal. What a Heaven-sent nurse! She went above and beyond to make us feel cared for and comfortable. She checked on us regularly, even though we knew she was very busy! We are breast feeding exclusively and being day 3, and she found out that no lactation consultant had been around to help us. She spent a great amount of time with me showing how to latch, what to listen for, and all the specifics. When my baby had lost more weight than normal on Day 4, she helped me pump to make sure the production was at a good level. I learned more from Cara than from any other person in my entire 4 day stay.
Cara made not just me, but my husband and my family who traveled over 9 hours to be there for the birth of our first baby, feel comfortable and important. She treated our questions and concerns very professionally. We can only hope that when Baby #2 is ready that Cara will be there as an awesome Nurse and that all those nervous first time moms and dads get to have Cara as their nurse.
