I came in with extreme pain in my back due to an infection in my blood. I had had a lot of problems the first couple of days with getting my pain managed. I had a really high fever the first few days I was here. When Victoria came on as my nurse she knew of the problems I was having physically. She was extremely attentive to my comfort and making sure my pain was at a tolerable level. She also stayed on top of my vitals constantly checking my temp and making sure it wasn't super high and if it did spike she made sure I had Tylenol and cool wash cloths, or a cooling blanket or ice packs so that I wasn't just lying in the bed burning up. She also came and just spent time with me, talking, asking about life outside of the hospital. She is so genuine. She cares about her patients. She cares about what they are going through outside of being in the hospital. She shows genuine concern for what patients are going through in life, in general. She talked with me about some personal things. She listened to me. She didn't pass any judgement. She is such a sweetheart. Victoria is a hard worker and a great nurse; she was never too busy to give me anything less than excellent care.
