Since I began working at Wesley, I have admired Melanie's kind heart and willingness to help others. She goes above and beyond to ensure her baby's needs are met as well as the families. If another nurse is struggling, Melanie is the first person to offer help. She goes the extra mile and is the definition of a team player. Watching her interact with family members is such a special thing because they always look at her with absolute trust and admiration. She gives families the security they need to know that their baby or babies are in good hands.
There was a day when I was drowning in my assignment and trying to complete an admission. Without hesitation, Melanie jumped in and was helping me with whatever I needed at the moment. She was helping take care of my babies, as well as hers, without showing a moment of frustration. I have never met someone with such a kind heart. Melanie is the shining example of what a nurse should be and brings light to every room she walks in.
