Our daughter has been in the Surgical ICU for nearly two months following a multiple trauma hit-and-run accident when she was riding a bicycle. We met Toni in the third week of her stay. Immediately, we saw her skills and kindness in action in her care of our daughter. Toni was always proactive in our daughter's plan of care and made sure that all could be done for her patient's well-being. She shared meaningful stories from her own life that allowed us to see her character and her mission for helping others. When she saw that my husband and I were going to pray at our daughter's bedside, she asked if she could join us in prayer. Toni would continue to come to our room to check on us and our daughter's recovery. She provided excellent care during the three days she cared for our daughter. She communicated with her patient and our family everything she was doing. She asked for our feedback and exuded care and compassion in everything she did. Thank you, Toni.
