Let me first say thank you, Tara, for picking up, and coming over to the adult side ER to work in Resus tonight! Secondly, I would like to recognize Tara for going above and beyond to put her patient and his wife, especially their comfort, above anything else. Tara had a terminally ill cancer patient in Resus 1 tonight that found out in December he had cancer, but most recently it is now believed that it may have spread. Tara not only placed the patient in a hospital bed (which is our practice), but she also pushed a stretcher next to the hospital bed so the patient's wife could lay next to him realizing that they may not have much time left together. I just wanted to take the time to recognize Tara for her hard work, and how nice it was of her to think outside the box for this patient. Thanks again!
