Visalakshi is one of the superb nurses who cared for my father during his 2-week stay at Baptist. My father is in the final stages of stage IV lung cancer. Although almost every team member we worked with went above and beyond, Visalakshi's simultaneous professionalism and compassion stood out. There was an audible sound of relief whenever she was on our schedule, as we knew that day would run as smoothly as possible. She always read the tone of the room correctly, whether it was playing with grandchildren or a moment of anxiety and pain. Visalakshi made me proud to be a lifelong volunteer, donor, and advocate of BMC.
