I'm from Nebraska, moved there to be with my sister and her husband. I have been in geriatric nursing for 22 years and it's been many years since I've met a nurse like Kathy. She came into my room with a great smile, introduced herself, put me at ease, and took a little time to assist my situation. She asked questions, answered my questions with a great smile and determination to do all and over and above she could to care for me. She put her arm around me when I felt apprehensive and she was straight forward in her answers. Her professionalism was quite impressive; she knew her job and intended to do the job to the best of her ability- all day long her energy was also impressive.
If Kathy cared for the other patients as she cared for me and I know she did, what an asset. She is a gold mine. I was so impressed. Please know she is giving Boone Hospital everything she has from her smile, loyalty, energy, compassion, knowledge and professionalism and kindness, works well with her team. She is worth her weight in gold. I have been astounded and blessed. Thank you so much.
