My aunt was brought into the ED with an almost non-existent blood pressure. She was 92 and nearing her end, she was "wore out." During her treatment, it was decided that we were going with comfort care and to keep her pain-free. Upon this decision, Sarah did exactly that. She not only did everything possible to get her comfortable and pain-free, but she also kept our family as comfortable as she could during to process of getting her to a room in the tower. At one point, to try and get my aunt comfortable and warm, Sarah practically climbed in bed with her to get her situated. This is the true meaning of caring for your patient!!
