As the manager of the emergency department, Sara Hawkins goes above and beyond every day! Sara not only handles the things we do not see that keep the ED running, she also works the floor when needed. She is always smiling and uses AIDET when working the floor. She is always very patient and kind to all patients! She is also beyond patient with the ED staff concerning the many issues that arise.
Sara is always there for us! She volunteers so much of her personal time to all the different events happening around the emergency department and IU Health Morgan: Relay for Life, Artie Fest, Morgan County Fair, The United Way, and the Pathway to Excellence. She is very selfless and has such a big heart for helping people. Sara is always willing to drop whatever it is that she might be doing to help! It does not matter day or night; Sara is always here for us! She is by far the greatest asset the ED has. Her knowledge about policies, procedures, and information in general is in abundance. She communicates so well with the staff. Sara, thank you so much for all that you do for us, our patients, and IU Health Morgan! What you do does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
