I brought my daughter to the ER for severe anxiety with panic attacks related to an adverse reaction to a medication/Buspar. Jamie and Barb were an amazing team and key in decreasing my daughter's anxiety to a tolerable level. Barb was incredibly therapeutic, immediately upon our arrival. She was able to talk my daughter "down from the ledge", in a manner of relating/speaking per my daughter (not that she was wanting to harm herself in any way). Barb went on to inform her that "anxiety will NOT kill you, it will just make you miserable", assuring her that everything will be okay and work itself out. My daughter's blood pressure and heart rate came down within minutes after arriving, due to Barb's amazing therapeutic nursing skills/approach.
Jamie also shared the same therapeutic gift/skills as Barb and continued to reassure my daughter during our ER visit, and also educated her on treatment, medications and coping strategies. I am so very grateful for their wonderful treatment and care with my daughter and was compelled to acknowledge their wonderful nursing care/treatment today. Thank you so very much!! She left with decreased anxiety and stable vital signs.
