Danielle was talking to me and my wife in the ER when my wife's blood pressure dropped. She instantly recognized what was going on and took charge when this incident occurred it was just my wife, me and Danielle in the room. I still do not know how she got 4 other people in the room with us while she did what she had to do on my wife. She directed the others without losing her focus on what she had to do. I am sure her training instinctively guided her actions, but there was also a compassion for her work that added to the excellence she displayed in the ER. That type of dedication cannot be learned in the ER, that type of dedication cannot be learned in a classroom. It is ingrained into who and what she is. A symbol of professionalism, yet caring and mindful to the needs of her patients and relatives. When my wife's blood pressure dropped, I was aware that something was wrong, but all I could do was stand there helpless. I have no doubt that the swift and accurate actions by Danielle Wright saved my wife's life. She may think that what she did was all in a day's work, but it was not. It was an act of outstanding courage under fire. She has great knowledge, decision-making abilities, leadership skills, and professionalism. Danielle is an exceptional individual who takes pride in her work. She can interact with the patient; as well as, the friends and relatives accompanying the patient. I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to recognize someone who would go unrecognized for their selfless devotion if I did not have this means to give them praise and recognition that they so richly deserve.
