As the Nurse Navigator for The Pancreas Center, Stephanie provides education and support to patients undergoing complex pancreatic surgery and often lengthy recovery. She literally holds their hands as she guides them through the many stages of their treatment plans along their journey as a patient. One patient’s daughter wrote:

Being able to have faith and trust in the people treating my mother’s cancer is very important. I have accompanied my mother on several of her visits. It is obvious that your standards of care for your patients are very high, and I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that Stephanie is not only upholding those standards, she exceeds them. You should be very proud to have her as a part of your team.

The genuine compassion Stephanie feels for her patients is evident, and shines through whether she is coordinating a patient’s visit, doing patient education, or hosting a support group. Her colleagues frequently witness Stephanie’s patients giving her a hug in thanks; they know that she is always there for patients at NCH.
