It is with pleasure that I nominate Kathy Scott, RN with our Women’s & Children’s Unit for the DAISY Award. Kathy always has a smile on her face and is willing to help anyone in need. Here are a few examples of her caring & compassionate traits:
“Kathy had extra special compassion for a teen patient giving her baby up for adoption.”
“Kathy was with me through her 12 hour shift when I had difficult, slow to progress labor that ultimately ended in a cesarean section. I could not have asked for a better nurse. She was very attentive, prompt, empathetic, informative and also very kind to my sometimes large amount of visitors. She made my difficult labor the best it could be under the circumstances.”
“Kathy was incredibly attentive and emotionally supportive when I was learning to breastfeed. When I was at the point of frustration and feeling like a failure, she came on shift and made me feel amazing.”
