Lexi Ottenbacher, RN – 7C/Macomb Center
Kindness, patience and a smile truly go a long way when you are taking care of patients and in working with others. Lexi Ottenbacher, RN is one of those nurses who comes to work every day with a smile for everyone and is a joy to be around. Lexi was nominated for a DAISY Award by a co-worker, who said, “Lexi is an excellent example of the St. John Mission & Values. She is always a team player and pleasant to work with. Not even the unhappiest/most demanding patient can wipe the smile off her face or make her sigh. She is the best example of patience, kindness and compassion. She makes time to help all (PCTs, HUCs, RNs, housekeeping) her fellow co-workers, even if it’s the most tedious of tasks. She goes above and beyond daily and is a dedicated nurse who is proud to say she is part of the St. John Health System. You never hear the statement, “It’s not my patient” or “I don’t have time, ask someone else” come out of her mouth. All St. John employees should learn a little something from Lexi. I know I have.”
