“As a nurse, we have opportunity to heal the heart, mind, soul and body of our patients, their families and ourselves (Anonymous)”.
The critical care can be very stressful yet rewarding unit to work on. We often face many situations to make our job difficult as nurses. We see patients pass away before their times and never get the chance to leave the hospital. Nurses often provide support and shoulders to cry on whatever the situation may be. We often see happy endings, patients who we never thought could walk again or patients who fight their disease and come back for a joyful visit. Many times we see patients who are organ donors or have viable corneas and the families who are ever so grateful. Nurses are exceptional individuals, who show their care and compassion everyday. I would like to represent Dana Eisenberg as a very exceptional nurse individual. She has multiple times been nominated for Henry Ford award for ICU by manager, by nurses/colleagues, by patients. She is Clinical Coordinator of ICU and she is a Rapid Response Team member. Everybody knows her as very knowledgeable, always works positive attitude, always willing to help team mates in difficult situations. She is always friendly and with smile, good team leader and motivator.
Dana is a great asset to the ICU team. She is always there to help when needed. She will do anything to help nurses catch up on work and she makes a point that everyone gets lunch even if they are really busy. Dana is also willing to take assignments to help with staffing. She makes working enjoyable because she can always be counted on. Dana is also a great communicator and problems that arise. She is patient and willing to listen to even the toughest situations.
