At the time of Tayla's nomination, she was fairly new in MPCU and was already making a HUGE impact! The nomination begins by saying, "She always goes out of her way to make sure her patients know they matter!" The nomination continues by telling a story of a patient who received very good news about his diagnosis on admission and that Tayla spent extra time with this family to be certain they understood the medical information they were receiving and to process the emotions associated with the news. Finally, she organized the MPCU staff to collectively celebrate with the patient and family.
