It means a lot to a nurse when a patient or family member acknowledges that the nurse has made a positive impact. This month four different individuals took the time to say “Thank you” to Tracy Tiller, RN on 3 Center, by nominating her for a DAISY Award.
One patient said, “This nurse is all about helping people” A patient’s family member said, “She is always willing to help. She has an exceptional outgoing personality. She really shows she cares. She is patient and very understanding.”
Another patient told us, ““She is very sweet and explains things thoroughly, always smiling and willing to help. She made my hospital stay much more comfortable with her bubbly personality.” And finally, a patient’s daughter shared, “This nurse took time with smiles, gentleness and kindness to explain medical issues concerning my dad. She was creative in helping to guide doctors toward a diagnosis when a problem occurred. She identified swelling (abdominal) and asked doctors to order x-rays, tests, etc. Problems were corrected. She helped me immensely concerning rehab care for my dad.”
Tracy was truly honored to receive her DAISY Award, surrounded by her 3 Center co-workers, physicians, her manager Steve Thibault, and President Joe Tasse.
