Ann Johnson, RN, works on the Outpatient Treatment Unit (OPTU). She was nominated by a staff member for addressing a critical issue regarding a patient who had a life threatening incident while in the hospital. As a follow up, Ann viewed the medical record and noticed something in the test results requiring immediate attention by the physician. Because of this intervention, the issue was corrected and the patient immediately improved thanks to Ann’s care and dedication. SJMH staff members were honored to have Tena Barnes Carraher, a Co-Founder of DAISY Foundation, on-site to present the DAISY Award to Ann.
