I receive a phone call, letter, or email from a patient or patient's family member at least once or twice a month about Brian Conlin and the great care he provides. He really connects with his patients and family members.
This letter is a little different. It comes from a family member of a patient who was with us for quite a while. This family member was very vigilant about his mother's care and had interactions with probably hundreds of people while his mother was here. He had administrators on speed dial. He would update and expect communication from each one on speed dial daily. He was very involved in his mother's care. For him to single out Brian and recognize him for his "rare passion for what he does" demonstrates the kind of nurse Brian Conlin is and how he serves each and every one of his patients.
Letter: Dear Brian, Thank you so much for all that you do. You are a true asset to Vidant! If you recall, you took care of my mother for several weeks over the summer. She had a stone in her CBD, then all sorts of issues that really scared us. Yet, with your care and help, we made it through that challenge. My mother has made a full recovery. She has even had other procedures to fix other issues we found during that time and is 100% back to normal. She fondly remembers how you cared for her.
