Jackie was so approachable whenever we had questions or concerns about my father's condition. She never answered us without a smile and wanted to be assured we understood everything.

My father was chilled one day and Jackie brought him a steamed blanket. To this day he is still talking about Jackie and those steamed blankets. In life, it goes to show that even the little caring things that we do for one another can have such an impact on one person, and their family's life, that it will not be forgotten. I guess the words 'loving care' should always be together; you can't have one without the other. But, I have seen care without love and it does make a big difference to be able to touch one's life in such a positive way that makes a person feel special, and she always did that.

My father is almost totally blind and he could not use the call button. Jackie added a special tab to his call button so that he could call for assistance himself. Again, as we age we still want to do as much as we can for ourselves. And when we are shown love and caring we just want more of it. A true reason to live as long as we can!
