Debbie is one of the unsung heroes of the 6 North staff.

As an ACES Navigator for 6 North she demonstrates these values effortlessly in all that she does. She never raises her voice when angry and always signals when she doesn't have the resources she needs to do her job or take care of her patients. She is calm, compassionate and competent each and every day she works.

Debbie regularly works relief charge while holding down a full patient load and completes all the work for both roles. She takes the time to get to know her patients and goes above and beyond to meet their obvious needs as well as the little things that really make a difference. When other nurses are upset or frustrated she works with them to find positive solutions to their issues.

She has many years of nursing experience under her belt and easily recognizes critical situations in her patients and takes action to ensure their safety.
All in all, Debbie already has earned the Daisy award in my mind. She is humble and believes that every patient deserves the best outcome every time. It is my honor to nominate her for this award.
