Stephanie Cranfield exemplifies what it means to be a nurse. She genuinely cares for others and will go out of her way to help anyone in need. She is active in her community, in her church and in her role at CCH. Stephanie is a role model for her co-workers, always going above and beyond for her patients.

She was recognized by one patient in particular. He wrote:

“I was in Florida, vacationing with my family, on a Disney Cruise, ready to head home to Michigan, when I began experiencing my implanted defibrillator transmitting shocks. I was rushed to your hospital via EMS.

Needless to say, the health aspects of this situation were traumatizing, but being far away from home made the situation even more disconcerting. I received such excellent professional care at your hospital, but I would like to especially recognize Stephanie the nurse that cared for me that day.

As events transpired, I had to be airlifted to another hospital. My wife and sister-in-law were left behind at your hospital. Having come from the cruise ship as well, they had no transportation, nor did they know the area. Stephanie volunteered to drive them in her own vehicle at the end of her shift, even though the other hospital was quite a distance away. As well as being such a kind individual, she was a calming and comforting presence. My wife was so grateful.”
