Compassion and caring are the norm found on the Med/Surg Unit at Newport Hospital. Each RN and CNA I encountered went out of their way to make sure I had everything that I needed on a moment's notice- and that just didn't include my assigned staff; this was every nurse on the Unit. A CNA or RN would be in my room with a smile within minutes when I utilized my call light. The camaraderie that exists on the Med/Surg unit is amazing. Everyone helping everyone. I have never seen that type of teamwork in any healthcare facility and they need to be recognized!
