Robin Boardman was nominated by one of her peers in the Emergency Department because of her continual compassion and kindness that she displays towards patients, family members and other co-workers. One particular patient was brought in on a 5150 and was very scared and felt no one was listening to her. Robin took the time to listen to her patient and find out what she was trying to tell them. She was respectful of the patient while maintaining her dignity during this involuntary stay for many hours. Social Service, the Nursing Supervisor, and the MD were all involved in assisting this patient. At the end, the patient was released from the hospital and thanked Robin for all her help and for taking the time to listen to her.
