Darla Thompson was nominated by two patients, one on our third floor MedSurg Unit and one on our second floor MedSurg Unit.

• Darla was my nurse several times during my stay at the hospital. She is very attentive, concerned, and has a great warm personality. During the bad times, she checked on me frequently to make sure I was comfortable. She always had a smile on her face and I couldn’t have asked for better care. As an RN she was “perfect”. IU West Hospital should be very proud of Darla and consider her an asset.

• Darla is patient, kind, knowledgeable, very concerned and comforting to anxiety and family issues. She has the ability to relate to difficult scenarios and make patients feel “good” and safe. Thank you Darla, you went up and above your clinical job. That’s what counts!
