Kelli was my nurse in Labor and Delivery for two days. During that time, she truly became invested in my care. On the second day, my labor started to slow down and we all got discouraged about it, including her. Knowing that I really did not want a c-section my options were limited. When she went to go get my last bag of Pitocin, she had a group of nurses pray over the bag that it would work as need and I would have a vaginal birth. When she came back and told me I nearly broke out in tears of joy and appreciation. She already knew I would be truly supportive of her efforts. She will never know how much that meant to me - three hours later my little girl had come but her shift was over. She followed up with my next nurse to see how I was doing. She went above and beyond!
