Cricket clearly goes above and beyond not only for her patients and families but also for her colleagues. Recently, Cricket assisted me, without hesitation, to accommodate a patient with a need to take her fetal demise baby home. I was clueless about how exactly to handle this situation. The patient was admitted to another floor and never on Mother Baby but Cricket stepped up, with the help of others, and handled the situation with dignity, compassion and genuine concern for the patient. She made certain the baby was placed in a crocheted cradle and put in the memory box to be taken home. She helped to make this tragedy a warm and kind-hearted circumstance. By assisting me, she was able to provide the patient with excellent care, compassion, and dignity for her lost baby. She truly went the extra mile.
